I'm in love with my Gear VR!

Got myself a Gear VR headset free when I bought one of the new Samsung Galaxy S7 phones a couple of weeks ago. I've been using it most every day since then and I'm just blown away, every time I switch it on it seems there's new stuff to explore. There's now an amazing and ever growing assortment of material and apps from being able to play Netflix videos on a huge screen in a 360 degree 3D environment to watching 3D movies on an even bigger screen in the Oculus Theatre.

I've taught myself how to download 3D & 360 degree movies from YouTube and how to put them on the S7 so I can watch them on the Gear, the variety of stuff available is amazing, quality varies but when you see the good stuff on the Gear it's amazing.

Of course there's lots of games available as well, some of which are free and others have to be paid for. Free ones I can definitely recommend are InCell, Smash Hit, Temple Run and Bait. I've also discovered Groovr, a music visualisation app which is pretty amazing. I found a video on YouTube of 2 hours of music by Lesiem, a German project whose music combines elements of rock, pop, electronica, new age, enigmatic and ambient music, as well as Gregorian chant and other choral music. I downloaded it as an MP3, stripping out the graphics so was able play it in Groovr and float along a methane river on an alien world with the most amazing graphic animations surrounding me, trust me, has to be seen to be believed! There's so much more I could tell you about but this will do for now I'm sure, needless to say I'm loving it!
